What We Do
Drive company objectives and increase profitability with social media.
If you are like many other executives looking for new ways to grow their business, the promise of social media and web 2.0 strategies are both intriguing and a little suspicious.
Is it really possible to drive revenue growth through social media environments like Facebook and Twitter?
Or is the whole idea of a social web just another excuse to spin your wheels and chase after bad bets?
If you are old enough to remember the debate in the mid-90’s about whether online retail would really ever be profitable, you will know where we stand: Wevival believes that an effective, authentic social media “platform” will be the primary differentiator between successful, thriving, relevant enterprises and those that are waiting to die—the 21st century version of the “buggy-whips” companies.
Why social media?
Imagine the internet marketplace as a vast sea of open-air theatres, sideshows and stages: all of the world’s commercial presence is available to anyone, within seconds. Long ago, the sheer size and volume of the space overwhelmed users, and from the need to organize the web grew the search engine business: complex algorithms that help narrow the field to a usable, consumable number of options. But these algorithms fail to provide us with context, meaning, heart and soul. We can look through a catalog of hardwood flooring options or find the 12 colleges within a 20 mile radius of our house, but we don’t know which one is the best for us. So whom do we ask? Our friends and colleagues. Who knows us better? Who do we trust more? Who is accountable to us for what they say and suggest? Our friends and colleagues.
The social web allows for these connections to happen in context, and provide depth and meaning to the information we are viewing online.
How does Wevival help?
The ubiquitous, corporate website. Everyone has one. So do you. So what? A website, even a well-crafted and engaging one, is necessary but no longer sufficient. Your web “presence” today must encompass your web properties, the right social networks and social media tools, directory listings, and advertising channels. Most importantly, your web presence needs to be in active conversation with the markets and communities you most wish to serve and influence. Understanding how to engage in that conversation—how to make your business’s web presence an active part of the community—is what Wevival is all about. Whether your online presence is in disrepair or simply non-existent, we can help you engineer an authentic and engaging conversation that drives sales and increases customer satisfaction.
