The Rotary’s site, like most customers when they find Wevival, was woefully stale and out of date. In order to reach new members and keep their existing members informed, they needed a complete website overhaul. Before we started building the new website, we wrestled with the tension between new technologies and the needs of the member community. Since many members are over the age of 60, we decided to keep things extremely clean and simple. In addition to the website, we setup a Facebook fan page for the Rotary Club and created a Rotary Club gmail account in order to synchronize and share club events. We also provided over three hours of site training to the web committee and created 3 training videos to teach them how to use all of the new site tools. Check out their new site!
There were three primary objectives:
Provide gated access to club information
We created a password-protected “members only” page to provide access to private club information like member lists and internal links.
Drive site visitors to learn more about Rotary
We designed compelling home page slider graphics to direct visitors to areas of the site where they could learn more about Rotary and what it means to become a Rotarian.
Tell the unfolding story of what the Rotary Club is doing in the local community.
We setup their WordPress blog to help them share what the Rotary is up to every week. Through the blog they can now share information about club fundraisers, events, and service.
